TEKNOWLEDGE WORLDWIDE ANNOUNCES SOJOURNER HOUSE AS 2025 RECIPIENT OF ANNUAL #TEKSGIVING EVENT [Providence, RI] (May 2025) – TeKnowledge Worldwide (TKW) will be bringing their annual #TEKSGiving philanthropic event to Rhode Island this fall! The announcement was made to thunderous applause at TKW’s recent educational event, TEKFest, hosted in Nashville, TN. “TEKSGiving is the heart of who we are and what we do,” said Ray Cline, President of TKW. “We are looking forward to partnering with Sojourner House to help fulfill its mission of helping those in need.” Sojourner House is a comprehensive victim services agency dedicated to supporting and empowering survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking by providing culturally sensitive support, advocacy, housing, and education as well as working to effect changes in the systems that perpetuate violence. The nonprofit was nominated for #TEKSGiving 2025 by Jeff Day, owner of Better Days Technology. “I fell in love with the mission of Sojourner House and wanted to help,” said Day. “I am deeply proud of and humbled by the support of the TKW community. We are excited to use our expertise, skills, and technology to help Sojourner House do what it does best- keep vulnerable people safe.” This coming October, Sojourner House will be receiving a network and technology upgrade that will include access control and improvements throughout its campus. Gloria Greenfield, Vice President of Operations at Sojourner House, said, “This transformative investment will greatly enhance the safety and security of our clients and staff, while also strengthening our capacity to carry out our mission. These upgrades represent a critical advancement in our facilities— one we could not have afforded without this generous support.” At #TEKSGiving2024, more than 40 TKW members from all over the country and Canada delivered, installed, configured and upgraded the network infrastructure of La Escuelita Bilingual Preschool in Davidson, NC. The year before, they were at MissionFit in Baltimore, MD bringing podcasting equipment, improved security, and upgraded WiFi to youth seeking to better themselves through fitness and positivity. In total, TKW has gifted more than $300,000 in technology upgrades and services across its annual #TEKSGiving events.

Since 1976, the agency has assisted more than 60,000 individuals in rebuilding their lives after abuse. Sojourner House clients have access to emergency shelter, transitional and permanent supportive housing, clinical therapy, basic necessities such as food and hygiene products, intensive case management, legal services, support groups, sexual health advocacy, and more. Reaching beyond the reactive, Sojourner House is also focused on violence prevention education and facilitates workshops in both school and professional settings across Rhode Island.
